What this site is
The US Federal Government Directory (pelicanorange.com) is a research directory built from public records. It is not affiliated with any government body, political party, campaign, or candidate.
Supporting the site
Support is voluntary and not tax-deductible (Chatari, Inc. is not a nonprofit). It buys nothing and confers no influence over what the site publishes. Payments are processed by Stripe and the site never sees card details. Contributor information from FEC reports is never sold and no paid product is built from it. See the tip jar.
What we collect from visitors
Almost nothing. There are no accounts and no tracking scripts in the pages we publish. The content delivery network (Cloudflare) may record aggregate, cookie-free traffic statistics (page views and timing) that do not identify visitors; nothing is sold or shared.

Contributor information obtained from FEC reports may not be sold or used for soliciting contributions or for commercial purposes (52 U.S.C. 30111(a)(4)). This site publishes contributor information for informational purposes only. Visitors must not use it for solicitation or commercial purposes.

Wikipedia-derived text is reproduced under CC BY-SA 4.0 and remains under that license. Portraits from unitedstates/images are in the public domain. Wikimedia Commons portraits carry the license shown on their source page, linked on each profile where used. All other material is quoted with attribution and a link to the source.
Accuracy
Figures are as reported in the source on the date shown. Donor totals are net of refunds: receipts marked as received in error, returned, or refunded are excluded, and refunds to individuals are subtracted.
